Rare green gold filled classic from the 1930s.

This is a highly desirable (and relatively rare) 1930 Elgin States 679. This watch has a very unusual green gold filled case with black enameled designs on the bezel and sides.
This watch has a tonneau shaped case with geometric designs on the top and sides. The case is 14K green gold filled, both bezel and back. It is in Very Good condition with only a tiny bit of brassing to the bezel. The caseback is also Very Good with only a small ding near the stem. There is no wear through on the back and it is unengraved.
We’ve undertaken extensive restoration on this watch. The dial has been beautifully restored to original specifications. We’ve also added the correct new old stock blue steel hands and a new old stock crystal. The case has been cleaned and the black enamel re-applied. The movement has also been serviced and is keeping good time.
This watch is powered by the correct 15 jewel Elgin grade 428 movement. We’ve added to this watch a new old stock genuine Elgin pigskin band, to make this a perfect vintage piece, ready to wear.
The watch measures 3.6 cm from lug tip to lug tip and is 2.7 cm wide, not counting the stem. This is a relatively small watch by today’s standards and could easily be worn by a man or a woman.
