Classic 1952 Lord Elgin tank with a 14K gold filled case and Elgin’s reliable 21 jewel calibre 670 movement. This is a Model 4622 and is in Very Good to Excellent condition.
The bezel and back are both 14K yellow gold filled and show some minor signs of wear, but no evidence of brassing or wear through. The dial is in Excellent condition and free from marks. The gold daggar hands and gold applied numbers are in Excellent condition. The plastic crystal is a replacement and is unscratched. The watch runs well and keeps good time. There is an inscription on the back: “RAY from MOM and DAD 6-2-52.”
The band is a new old stock leather strap. This is a medium-sized strap. The watch is ready to wear.
We don’t know the service history of this watch and it has not been serviced while in our possession. While the watch is keeping very good time right now, you will probably want to have a jeweler clean, oil, and adjust the watch to get the greatest accuracy and the longest enjoyment from your vintage watch.
