This is a truly exceptional piece – virtually new old stock. The watch dates to 1951 and is all original. It looks as if it’s never been worn. A spotless case and dial, topped off by a new old stock leather band. This watch is ready to wear.

The watch is in Excellent condition. The white dial has applied gold numbers and sticks with the number “6” almost completely obscured by the sub-seconds – a nice touch. There are no spots or marks on the dial. The crown is signed “Bulova.” The original crystal is glass and without scratches. Both the stylish bezel and the back are free from marks or wear. The bezel is 10K yellow rolled gold plate. The back is stainless steel.

The watch is powered by Bulova’s 17 jewel 11AF movement and is running strong and keeping excellent time. This watch is (slightly) small by modern standards and would work equally well for men or women. The case measures 29.3 mm wide (including the stem) by 27.3 mm long (not counting the lugs).

Included with this watch is an original Bulova Senator marbled plastic watch display box. This is the correct box for this year and model of watch and is in Very Good shape, with little sign of wear. The case rounds out this watch to make a perfect gift for fans of vintage timepieces or proponents of retro mid-century chic.

The service history of this watch is unknown and it has not been serviced while in our possession. While the watch is keeping very good time right now, you will probably want to have a jeweler clean, oil, and adjust the watch to get the greatest accuracy and the longest enjoyment from your vintage watch.
